A Moment in Wine 2020

The Artefact A Moment in Wine 2020 label depicts the year’s defining moments in a design inspired by Chinese blue and white porcelain.

Made from the GF1 Bacchus clone, we hand-harvested the grapes in September 2020 in East Devon. Then we crushed and destemmed them into four 300-litre Tuscan amphorae, spending 10 days on skins and fermenting with Delta and Wild yeasts before ageing for seven months on lees. There was no fining or filtration.

Tasting wine is an individual experience; no two notes could ever truly align. At our first tasting of the Artefact A Moment in Wine 2020, we captured the following notes:

Tangerine peel, white mulberry and sage.
